Update- I changed the crystal on this after all, there is now a beautiful talisman at the end (consisting of two crystals held together with bullkelp and wrapped in copper wire. The handle is a twisted bullkelp root, with blue apatite, amazonite, Indian jasper, soldered brass chain from turkey and love.
